An antique Japanese Matsumoto Isho Tansu chest made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Hinoki (Cypress) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware and wiped lacquer finish. Five drawers of varying sizes, 3 full width drawers for Kimono storage and 2 small drawers for Kimono accessories. Constructed using straight dovetail joinery and hardened wood nails.

Age: Meiji/Taisho Era (1900-1920)

This is an antique Japanese made of thick paper-twisted coyori and hemp noragi from the Taisho period. It was made in the Shonai region. The warp threads are alternately woven with hemp and paper-twisted cord, and the warp threads are hemp. It is unused and in good condition.There is one very light stain. There are no damages. It is recommended for collection. Size: Length: 88cm (34.6 inches) / Cuff to cuff, full back: 106cm (41.7 inches)
