The expertly thrown body was trimmed with a potter's knife in its lower part around the foot ring. The foot ring is typical for Oribe bowls produced around 1610 at the Motoyashikiki and other kilns. The kamajirushi '<' kiln mark beside the foot ring underlines this once again. Such old and spectacular Oribe bowls are usually only viewable in museums...
