Abhaya Asian Antiques
$400.00
1) Rare and unique (one of a kind), antique large Thai “parang” or “machete”, general purpose bush knife which was used in cutting and splitting rattan and bamboo. The handle is made of old, and nowadays rare, Longan Fruit Wood has a nice chatoyance to the grain (sort of looks like Huanghuali to me 降香黄檀). The cutting edge is still sharp and usable; there are a couple of splits which is secured by a metal band. L: 64cm/25.2in.

Abhaya Asian Antiques
$800.00
Large Bangkok Period (late 19th/early 20th century) standing Buddha in “Royal Attire”, with palms out displaying the classic abhaya mudra. The body and base are cast separately, there is a missing tine on the crown noted in last enlargement, other than that excellent condition. H: 58cm/23.8in. (shipping not included)
Rare globular shaped Northern Song-Jin Dynasty cizhou stoneware jar with stunning abstract scrolling white floral band. This has been dipped in two slips and a light gray glaze. Obviously the glaze has deteriorated quite a bit which is reflected in the price. Everything is stable on this with no cracks or chips. H: 14.2cm/5.7in and D: 14.5in/5.8in
Good Tang Dynasty jar with transparent glaze over cream slip, extending about 1cm below the glaze on white clay body. The clay has a soft feel but is quite hard, the glaze is stable with no fritting. The soil accretions are all original, should clean off with some misting and a light cloth- but I’ll leave that up to the buyer. There is one chip on the rim. Nice small size. H: 12cm/4.8in and D: 12cm//4.8in.
