Rare Thai 14th - 15th Century Sawankhalok Celadon Stem Bowl (repaired)

This rare stoneware stem bowl was made at the Sawankhalok kilns around the 14th - 15th century. Both inner and outer surfaces have been profusely decorated with incised bands and lines, with a floral pattern to the inside centre. It is coated with a finely-crackled translucent celadon glaze.

Very old betel nut crusher, complete with its sheath. The handle is finely decorated with an elaborate bone sculpture of a bird with the head of an old man, perched on what seems to be foliage. Fine Vietnamese 14th / 15th Century Moulded Bowl

This rare bowl was made during the 14th - 15th century and is coated in a finely-crackled pale greenish glaze, much like a Chinese qingbai type of glaze. Around the centre is a wide unglazed stacking ring around which is a moulded petal pattern. The glaze has run and sagged a little in places and here and there are unintentional iron spots within the glaze.

Diameter 16.75 cm. This bowl is in fine condition and has no restoration or repair...

This rare bowl was made during the 14th - 15th century and is coated in a finely-crackled pale greenish glaze, much like a Chinese qingbai type of glaze. Around the centre is a wide unglazed stacking ring, and around the inner wall are various moulded floral patterns, albeit a little indistinct. Apart from unintentional glaze splashes, the foot remains unglazed revealing the pale grey porcelaneous body.

Good circa 19th CE bronze Buddha from the Shan people in Burma. I found this in Mae Sai, along the Thai/Burmese border in 1998. The style is rather quirky but the face is typically Shan with Burmese gold and black lacquer. This has an unusual stone core rather than ceramic.
