This small stoneware bottle was made during the 9th -10th Century. It is coated in a very pale and finely-crackled greenish-white glaze that has flaked from the surface in places, this being typical of early Khmer glazes. This dish of good size (diameter 22.75 cm / 9 inches) was made around the mid 15th century. The underglaze blue pattern comprises various floral patterns on the upper surface and lotus leaves on the underside. The rim and base remain unglazed. This blue & white jar was made during the 15th century. It is attractively-shaped, wider than most other examples of its type and form, with an underglaze blue pattern featuring scrolling floral and lotus leaf patterns. The flat base remains unglazed.
