Butterflies of various colors on a peach color ground. The narrow neck of the vase is decorated with a pattern of scrolling vines on a deep red ground.

Snow in Kawazu (aka. Riverside Village in Snow) Date: 1930s. This edition 1950s-60s. Hasui oval seal lower right. Size: Woodblock print is 5.375 x 3.375 inches and is attached along its top edge only to a 7.5 x 5.25-inch holiday card (see inside photos). Publisher: Watanabe Shozaburo Medium: Japanese woodblock print. Condition: Print is excellent. Card is toned along top.

It is 17.5 cm (7 inches) diameter, 14cm tall (5-1/2 inches) tall and in excellent condition, bearing the artist seal in gold on the base.
