SOLD Japanese antique scroll painting of Bodhidharma with large calligraphy. The whole of the paper is painted with a light wash of ink before applying the bold image with a large brush. The red seals are actually painted with a small brush. Bodhidharma is the monk credited with founding the Zen tradition of Buddhism.

sold A very rare pair of Art-Deco era bronze candlesticks covered in polished nickel by Hata Zoroku enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Each is 12 x 7.5 x 35 cm (5 x 3 x 14 inches) and is in overall excellent condition, with some minor wear to the nickel. They come with teh original adapters for samller candles.
