An interesting and stylistically unusual, gilt bronze image of the Bodhisattva Vajradhara holding bell and vajra crossed in front of his chest. He wears a broad crown on his head with flanging tassels. High lotus seat with large, flat, double petals. Tone of gilding very fine. Eastern Tibet, 17th cent. Sealed. H 17 cm. Condition: Very good. Hole in top of hair knot and some rubbing to gold. It is an authentic antique, not a modern copy!

Well carved tribal mask from Nepal. This is made from a heavy, densely grained wood with an old Nepalese rupee set in the forehead and an animal hide goatee and toupee’. This was purchased in Kathmandu in 1980s and is very thoughtfully crafted. There is one chip on the side, H: 23.5cm/9.2in and 15.5cm/6.1in.

Bi faced "ghurra" (churning rod holder) finely carved to represent a back to back, squatting, human couple, man opposite woman. Wood, with nice dark brown glossy patina. The ghurra was carved in Nepal, and is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Its height (without the stand) is 22.7 cm. Very good condition. NOTE: The ghurra is a tool which has been used for centuries by Nepali people for churning milk into butter...

This old camel's bell was used on the caravans travailing between Tibet, across China and into Mongolia...

Head of Citipati, made of embossed bronze with gilding on the front and red painting to enhance the eyes. Fine green patina in the recesses and on the back. The head is pierced on its top and lower side to allow not to be worn on a necklace that was used by a Tibetan lama or oracle particularly during the Cham ceremonies and dances. Krishna is wearing a diadem, at the back of which is a loop suggesting that this statue was originally used as a pendant.
