This bronze Jain figure dates back to the 16/17th. century. Parsvanatha lived in the 8th. century BC and is the twenty-third Jina or Tirthankara. He sits in the padmasana position, protected by a seven-headed naga. His consorts are spiritual guardians or yakshas. The bronze statue shows the characteristic wear. The height is 12.3 cm. The bottom part measures 8 x 5 cm. South India.

Rare and large bronze shrine. The central figure is a Jina or Tirthankara. He is surrounded by small Jina's on the back plate. Each of the 24 Tirthankaras is represented by an animal or a symbol. There is an engraved animal on the foot of this shrine, but it is hard to distinguish which animal it is. The shrine is in an excellent condition, all three parts belong together, there are no repairs. It has a clean appearance due to the daily worshipping and washing tradition in Jainism...

Impressive antique figure of the protective deity Rahula (in Tibetan Kyab Jug) of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Rahula has nine heads, a large wrathful face on his belly and his lower body is that of a naga. The head of a black raven appears on top of the nine heads. Antique Tibetan Prajnaparamita made of patinated bronze. It has an elaborate crown framing the face with angular facial features. The figure is seated in royal ease pondering a shell in its right hand. The left hand holds a lotus sprig with traces of orange pigment. The figure has traces of prance, red, and yellow pigments. The robes are incised with a floral design. 20th century. It measures 12.25" tall.
