An unusual Nepalese bronze probably depicting a form of Visvarupa, the cosmic universal form of Krishna. Dating to the 18th century the finely cast multi armed and multi headed deity crouches within a aureole of leaves and flowers. He measures 4½ inches in height. The bronze was originally attached to a large ritual lamp and could use a base though he stands well enough on his own.

Finely cast 18th century Nepalese bronze figure of Vishnu riding his mount Garuda surrounded by an aureole of serpents. This bronze was originally attached to a large ritual oil lamp but is now mounted in a custom black wooden stand. Visable portion of statue is 4 inches in height, total height including stand is 6¾ inches.

A fine rare 15/16th century Tibetan bronze figure of Vajrapani. This is a heavy chunky piece measuring 11cm tall (13.5 on its custom stand). The piece has typically become separated from its base but that aside condition is fine with no other losses/damages. Originally purchased in London in the early 1990’s.

Three rectangular differently sized and slightly convex silver plaques with floral decoration in blue enamel. Attached to a traditional silk and gold thread cord with adjustable sliding knot. Nice detailed statue of Bhudevi, one of the two manifestations of Lakshmi and one of the two consorts of Vishnu. She stands in the tribhanga position, holding a blue lotus in her right hand. Her left arm shows the lolahasta mudra (tail of a cow). Her divinity is indicated by the hallow or srichakra on the back of her head. In very good condition, the bronze is of high quality and has a beautiful patina. India, 16/17th. century. Height 15 cm.

This bronze Jain figure dates back to the 16/17th. century. Parsvanatha lived in the 8th. century BC and is the twenty-third Jina or Tirthankara. He sits in the padmasana position, protected by a seven-headed naga. His consorts are spiritual guardians or yakshas. The bronze statue shows the characteristic wear. The height is 12.3 cm. The bottom part measures 8 x 5 cm. South India.
