Reference: Hotei #504. Stamped "Original works of art" on back. Medium: Japanese woodblock print. Condition: Excellent. Pencil notation at upper right margin. Partial stamp at lower right margin.

Sold An interesting pair of Japanese Arita saucer form dishes decorated in a transitional style incorporating elements of the Kakiemon style, notably the asymmetric elements within the reserves to the outer rim of the dish, with Katamono style motifs dating to the late 17th century or early 18th century made for the domestic market. For a more sophisticated version of this type of design in Katamono style dated 1680-1700 see Shibata Volume II no 422. These dishes probably date from the period 1690-17...

Sold A pair of Chinese porcelain bowls decorated with iron-red enamel depicting two dragons chasing a fire ball. Four characters studio mark "Fu You Tang Zhi" inside the foot rims. 19th century. Condition: One bowl is in perfect condition; the other has a chip on foot rim, and four very fade hairlines on the rim, the longest one is about one inch, there might be small chips accompanying the hairline and now be professionally restored. These flaws can only be seen under strong light. Diameters: 5-1/4"...

SOLD Antique Korean single section bedside chest, with book matched front panels of hardwood burl. Four drawers line the top of the chest with brass handles in motifs of butterflies. The front of the chest features a pair of doors with a large brass central plate and brass butterfly hinges.

Sold through our Liverpool shop 2019 A rare small solid bronze figure of a lion, of asymmetric form and with with unusual chased and punched surface decoration. It is attached with a single rivet to a contemporary base and is movable by about 30 degrees. This item either made in China during the Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644) or possibly much earlier.
Condition: no damages, losses or repairs and with very old patination.

"Sold" to USA A rare, attractively enamelled, figure of the Bodhisattva and Japanese "Goddess of Mercy", Kannon.. Unusually, she is seated on a large boulder inhabited by a writhing white glazed dragon.
This item was made in Japan in the Meiji period, during the 19th or early 20th Century
Condition: two very minor losses - a chip to one of the dragon's horns and a small chip to the bottom of the dragon's tail.

The censer decorated with under glazed cobalt painting depicting two figural scenes: "Worship the Moon" and "Carrying a Qin to Visit Friends". This censer used to be the collection of National Museum of Philippines, There is another identical one in the collection of National Museum of China in Beijing. Condition: The censer was broken and reattached, please see photos for detail. Diameter: 7-1/2", Height: 4-7/8".

Adding to it, three of the Lucky Gods make an appearance in miniature, treating the decoration as if it were a boat or their ship of good luck. Sumi ink on silk. Dates from 18th century.
