This piece is styled "uzukumaru" pot, it means "squat", Uzukumaru pot is originally made for storing seeds. Since tea masters like as Rikyu used them for vase in the tea room, it has been called "uzukumaru" and loved by them for tea　goods...

This piece is very rare among his works, it's shaped pumpkin suitable for summer season. His Iga pieces are usually 3 times fired in "Anagama" kiln, one term for firing is 10days, so it follows that they are fired for 30days.It is covered with natural glaze by melted ashes of red pine tree fire woods, burnt fire woods and red color by flame. An antique Japanese Isho Tansu (Kimono chest) made of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware and wiped lacquer finish. Comprised of 4 large drawers and a hinged security door housing 2 small drawers where valuables were hidden. A trick secret box was hidden behind the bottom small drawer with access by removing the bottom large drawer and reaching behind the small drawer.

An antique Japanese Kotansu small chest made of Sugi (Cryptomeria) wood. All original lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware. Most likely a bespoke commissioned chest suiting the owner who wanted to secure the 5 storage drawers behind a hinged door. Interesting 3 side handle configuration suggesting that the contents that was stored was haavy in weight.

A vintage Japanese Tansu called Honbako (book chest) made of dark stained Momiji (Maple) and Tochinoki (Horse Chestnut) woods with an interior made of Kiri (Paulownia). Single hinged door secures a spacious area where books were kept and 5 filing drawers where flats and documents were stored. Below the door is one large drawer where valuables were kept. All original bronze hardware.
