Chinese Qing dynasty wucai porcelain scalloped edge ritual bell with double-dragon form handle decorated with eight polychrome mythical beasts set against underglaze blue crashing waves on a white ground. Two narrow bands are at the top. The interior is a pale aqua color. The scalloped edge is unglazed. 6 3/4” high. 19th century. Fine quality restorations have been executed to an old hairline in the interior of the bell and to a small area of damage at the scalloped edge...

Mirror pair of Chinese Republic period porcelain fanghu form vases decorated in underglaze blue on a white ground with a continuous scene featuring three figures at the gate of a traditional building. A compound wall extends around the narrow side to end with leafy plants among rockery at the back. The edge of the gate with foliage and rockery is on the opposite narrow side. Two dragon handles are at the neck. The white glaze extends down the interior from the flat rectangular top...

A realistically formed figure of a resting sheep. The sheep is the eighth Chinese zodiac sign. The hollow form has two glazes - an overall straw-colored clear glaze with a drizzle of amber glaze that drips over its left side. The glazes have now turned iridescent from age - the amber glaze has a golden sheen...
