Oversized limited edition Japanese woodblock print by Shimoyama Tsutomu (b. 1945) depicting boats in water viewed from above traditional rooftops. The print is pencil-signed, titled in Japanese kanji, dated '77 and numbered 4/50 in the bottom margin. Paper size: 15 5/8" x 21 3/8" (image: 14 1/4" x 19 5/8"). Very good overall condition. Antique Chinese framed blue silk embroidery which appear to be sleeve bands that are stitched together. The textile is decorated with two phoenix, two dragons, and Chinese seal script. All are hand applied using gold gilt wrapped threads. In excellent condition, measures 27" x 15" including frame. The silk measures 21.5" x 10". Dates circa 1900.
