In holy facial expression, the Bodhisattva was molded and carved by the features of a Chinese lady.
When applied with white pigment on the face, the Bodhisattva was decorated with glassed eyes.

Description: An old wood incense utensil's holder was intriguingly carved from one original wood trunk. Making use the fine quality Huali wood, the scholar piece was rendered delicately on the top around the rims of the hole and around the top. A Triad Blac De Chine Guanyin Statue was beautifully rendered.
In elegant sitting posture the holy deity was accompanied with two attendants in front of the throne.
And on the rocky stands beside her, there's a purity vase on the right and a holy hawk sitting on the left.

This is a LARGE, very seldom seen, Buddhist Temple Ceremonial (Taiko) Drum with Stand. Taiko means that the drum is beaten with a mallet or drumstick. According to Japanese history: the first use of taiko was as a battlefield instrument; used to intimidate and scare the enemy –a use to which drums have been put in many cultures. In addition to the martial aspect, taiko has been used in the most refined cultural settings as well...

It is a very rare piece from excavation.
Made of the characteristic soapstone 布丁石 or 滑石 of the dated Tang periods, the item was made in shape by imitating the Persian ware which was affluent in that periods.
Two Similar porcelain pieces were found in the famous Idemitsu Museum出光美術館 of Japan and The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco.

By traditional designs on the patterns of the sea waves, this wood scholar dish was surrounded on the rim with scrolling water.
Purplish oxidation was happened to the surface when grayish deposition was found within the crevices.

Hand painted brush and ink Chinese painting, classically mounted on a scroll, depicting Bamboo and Rocks with apocryphal attribution to Zheng Xie鄭燮 This is a homage, painted in the 20th century, and is of an impressive size H: 165cm/64in and W: 68cm/24in. Mounted dimensions L: 2.4m/94in and W: 83cm/32.5in.

Pair lovely vintage bamboo brush pots circa 1960-1980 The surface has been stained a darker color but the patina is a hand polish with no varnish. Excellent condition, with no splits are cracks. H: 14.2cm/5.6in and D: 8.4cm/3.2in.

A finely carved brush pot (bitong) decorated with ‘fu’ characters for good luck in raised, low relief, all done in different type of script. Good, dark honey color. H. 14 cm D. 9,5 cm. Qing, second part of 19th cent. Condition: Excellent. Minor traces of wear.
