Rare antique Chinese multi-color scholar's brush holder in the form of the Chinese men's boot, Ming Dynasty 1368 -1644 AD.

Made of ceramic with sancai glazing, elaborately molded-in raised pattern, the boot's toe is adorned with a monster mask and richly glazed in cobalt blue, turquoise, brown, and cream beige.

CONDITION: Shows the age and use, with minor age wear.

In good condition, considering its age of more than 376 years, no damage or repairs...

A beautiful and decorative object that would have been placed on a scholar’s desk for contemplation. Artistic scholar’s rock (gongshi) made of bronze. This relatively rare type of gongshi was made by dripping red-hot molten bronze onto a pile of fresh pine chips. When coagulating the bronze would then “freeze” into its present form. Description:
A beautiful religious painting in ink and colors on paper. Depiction of the holy image of Manjusri, the painting was preserved very well with only some old stains left on the outer portion of the painting.
It measures 230cm long X 100cm wide for the work including mounting. Otherwise the painting measures 166cm X 85cm.

Description: A precious inkstone was newly excavated in perfect condition. Carved exquisitely on the surface of the cover with typical motifs of cranes' pine trees, creek and clouds, the instone was shaped in square Cha-Sou type and in three parts. Twin decks of ink pools were rarely find when the inkstone was made of precious Xer stone. With beautiful dark gray tint, brownish incursions were spread all over the surface. A rare piece was in full authentification...

Description:

A wood water basin was nicely carved in shape of a lotus leaf with a lotus pond.
It was preserved in very good condition by nice brownish patina.
Some of the seeds in the lotus pond were still movable when some were sticked but nothing is missing.
It was a charming and very rare piece by this type.
Most of the old wood pieces were made as brush pots in relief carving...

The stone has a lustrous patina and has a very dramatic ‘splash’ of red on both sides. It has never been carved with a designation and the base has now a shallow flake as a result of an impact on the edge, with a little powdery material showing. Further along there is a tiny bruise to the edge. These could be taken out by reducing the length by 0.4cm. Personally the chip does not worry me...

A rare inkstone was found from a famous painter and scholar of Qing Dynasty - Zen-Yu 曾燠（AD1759-1830) .
The inscriptions on the inkstone were as follows : Dauguang 6th year (1826) Nan-chen, Zen-Yu(道光六年南城曾燠) .
On the reverse side, the motif of a crouching deer was well carved.

Date: Qing Dynasty AD1759-1830.

Width : 15cm, Depth : 6cm.

A Rare 蔡沈Manuscript 書經集傳序 of Song Dynasty was found.
It was in Chinese calligraphy on an old manually made paper.
It is very hard for me to authenticate if it was from Song dynasty or from later dates.
But I would like to present it as an old Chinese calligraphy work of art at least from 19th centuries.
