Very pretty Satsuma earthenware bowl, round in shape, decorated with gold and polychrome enamels, representing inside the bowl, courtesans and children, in a garden, under maple trees, and near a lake. The kimonos are sumptuous by the thickness of gold used and the finesse of the details. The perimeter represents a meeting of samurai and on the other side courtesans under cherry blossoms. Japanese limited edition copperplate etching titled “Kyoto #7: Kozan-ji” by Tanaka Ryohei (1933-2019). Pencil-signed, dated '96, and numbered 141/150 in the lower margin. The title in kanji is at the bottom left margin. Paper: 11 5/8" x 10 1/4" (image: 6 3/8" x 8"). Very good overall condition with a possible faintly visible smudge in the upper left margin corner. There are a few distressed fibers on the back, but the print does not appear to have been previously framed.

Antique Japanese pair of Kutani ware porcelain fu-dogs. Each figure is glazed brown with green curling mane and tail. They stand on a yellow and brown glazed rectangular platforms. One has an open mouth while the other has a small horn. Fu-dogs or Foo-lions are fierce protectors but are also playful and energetic.
