Nothing I can say can convey the rugged beauty locked up in the capitulating form of this tall Shigaraki vase by Tsujimura Shiro enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The glaze runs down in tremulous glass drips over the charred and blackened surface scored and scarred. It is Zen!
