The glaze is amazing to behold, the layers shattered into thousands of transparent crystallized flakes stacked upon one another. It is roughly 12 inches (31 cm) tall and in excellent condition.

The Tosa School was founded in the Muromachi Period of the 15th century, and its painting was devoted to the aristocracy and its lifestyle.
