sold, thank you A large white vase with sweeping ear handles decorated with abbreviated Higake hash marks reminiscent of designs by KAWS by Isezaki Youtarou accompanied by a signed wooden placard decorated with his signature “Tensha” designs. It is 41 x 20.5 x 36.5 cm (16-1/2 x 8 x 14-1/2 inches) and is in excellent condition, directly from the artist.
Due to size the cost of shipping will be accrued separately. Isezaki Youtarou was born in Bizen, son of a traditional potter known for tea ware, ... The silver alloy belt is made from a network of interlocking rings with superimposed blossoms. The openwork buckle with a bird and flower design. No silvermarks found. Condition: traces of usage. The upper vase section has a wide, round rim decorated with a diamond-lozenge shaped pattern similar to the the hishi mon of the Takeda family. The body of the container is ringed with raised bands and tapers to a narrow stem which sits into a stand held up by three arching feet with waves.
