Chinese Rosewood heavy weight three(3) Tier Table, 31" high, 17" x 13" wide, mid to late 19th century, 2 solid piece of rosewood panel table tops and third bottom tier top is made of rosewood lattice work, whole table is framed with solid Rosewood and supported by 4 turned legs, no nail was used, all wooden pieces are pegged into the the other pieces of wood.

The expression of this armor, with its dragon and carp maedate transformation, sets the tone of its mythological meaning. Japanese tall armoire made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. This single section cabinet opens with two hinged cabinet doors. The interior has it's original metal rod for hanging clothes, a smaller metal rod on the right hand door and it's original small rectangular mirror. At the base is a single large drawer. Conservative design, with the only decoration being metal handles on the cabinet doors which are cut in a scrolling vine motif.

A fairly large gold repousse Buddha wearing a cape and standing on lotus pedestal. Repousse is a metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is ornamented or shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief. Size: H 11cm. W. 6cm. Condition: No repairs. Some openings which are natural for old repousse items. Nice patina.

A museum quality work by 19th century great Oda Kaisen featuring vines burgeoning with ripe fruit under the epitaph “Painted on a muggy date (possibly “by moonlight” as the term keigetsu refers) in 1840”. Ink on silk in brass colored Satin patterned with tendrils of mist and featuring white piping in the Mincho style and ivory rollers typical of literati painting of the 19th century.
