A wooden okimono depicting two toads, one perched on the other's back. The carefully crafted wood has a smooth surface with slight ripples that recall the typical wrinkled skin of amphibians. The eyes, inlaid in horn, give the toads a lively and attentive expression. Harumitsu signature engraved on the base. Complete with box. Period: Meiji late 19th century. Dimensions: 14 x 15 x 15 cm. Condition: Excellent. There is a small opening on the front of the wood.

Two-panel screen painted on paper, depicting a naturalistic scene with two pintail ducks in flight over a pond. In the foreground, lotus plants and peonies emerge from leaves and stems of grass that bend gently in the wind, while reeds and tufts of susuki grass complete the composition. Signed lower right. Period: Taisho ca. 1920-1930 Dimensions: 183 x 206 cm. Condition: Excellent. There is slight wear between the joints of the two panels and on the wooden frame.

1970's Chinese off white, pale green, and lavender jade carving of a bok choy, two bugs on a leaf, and with the lavender part of the carving being in the form of persimmons. The cabbage with persimmons is a symbol of wishing the recipient this message, "May you have peace in all your endeavors." Measures: Height 6.25 inches, Width 10", Depth 4.25". Uchikui made of choma (ramie) whose warps and wefts are hand plied. It has auspicious motif, "pine tree, baboo and plum flower", which is tsutsugaki, free hand paste resist dye. The ground cloth is dyed with Ryukyu ai, vegetable indigo of Okinawa and colored with pigments on both sides. Uchikui is not only for wrapping but also for laying out, covering a head or goods.
