$1,500.00 Exceptional antique Japanese small personal box made with beautiful keyaki (zelkova) wood burl. Two small drawers on the top, one of which is outfitted with interior lidded compartments. Below, are 3 full-width drawers of gradating depth. Patinated bronze hardware with square drawer pulls on the larger drawers and flower bud pulls on the top drawers. A matching square handle on the top for carrying. Original translucent wiped lacquer finish shows of dramatic grain.

SOLD Antique Japanese bronze temple bell or bonsho, with a handle of dragon heads called a ryuzu, protrusions called chi chi or nyu to improve resonance of sound, the tsuki-za striking panels, and the mei-bun inscription of the bell's history. Inscription dates the bell to Meiwa 4, 1767, during the Edo period. Commissioned by Ninomiya Juemon, village head and rest of villagers. Good luck day of July.

The top section has two large drawers and the bottom section has two large drawers and two small drawers on the lower right hand side. Iron hardware includes large round lock plates on the large drawers and matching small round lock plates on the small drawers.

Title: Totsuka Print size: Approximately 6.825 x 4.825 inches (17.4 x 11.8 cm). Dimensions without borders: 16.2 x 10.9 cm. Publisher: Watanabe Shozaburo. Shotei seal at upper right. Date: Prior to the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, in which the original blocks were destroyed. This is the only known example. Reference: Authenticity confirmed and slated to be added to the Shotei catalog. Medium: Japanese woodblock print.

Very elaborate wooden carving with thick layers of lacquer on top of which gilding. Unusual face with down cast eyes. Metal staff with moving rings.
Height 11.2 inches (29.2 cm). Japan, Edo period, 18th century. Jizo’s right foot and left hand repaired (old), vertical crack from his left shoulder down and from his right armpit dow... An antique statue of the lucky god Zhang Guolao holding a fish drum, a Chinese percussion instrument. Carved from a large bamboo piece with nice patina. One of the eight immortals of the Chinese Taoist pantheon. Condition: sticks of the instrument lost, some short cracks and chips. Dimension: c. 34.6 cm high. sold than you It is Japanese antique Tsutsugaki yogi cotton kimono textile dyed with natural indigo Edo Period (1830-1867).
The big Uchiwa (japanese washi fan) and family crest are very impressive. A Cotton is a thick hand-spun item and wonderful hand-spun cotton with a warm feel.
There are indigo fading in several places. There are repair marks in several places, but overall the condition is good.
It is the largest size among Tsutsugaki textile items.

sold thank you This is Japanese antique Hikeshi Hanten (fireman coat)used in the Edo period.( 1830-1850) of natural indigo dye cotton.
It is a very nice cotton hand spun with warm hands.
It is drawn with Tsutsugaki and with natural indigo dye.
There are slight stains, but they are not noticeable. There is a slight rubbing mark.
The state can be worn well.
