Chinese 19th Century Enamelled Porcelain Box - "Double Happiness"

This porcelain box is decorated with a variety of different coloured enamels. The main decoration features four standing figures. The Chinese characters around the edge translate as "Double Happiness". Diameter 8 cm. Some surface wear and a small repaired chip to the edge of the cover and a further small chip.

Pair Chinese 18th / 19th Century Miniature Blue & White Porcelain Vases

These small vases are quite "heavily-potted" and attractively-decorated in underglaze blue, the pattern on each vase featuring a pagoda, trees, figures and varied landscapes. They are coated in a particularly glossy glaze. The height of each vase is approx. 8.25 cm. Condition is very good with one just having old tiny "nibbles" to the glaze at the mouth edge.

Lovely late 19th century to early 20th century (over 100 years old), meditation panel carpet. These were usually woven like a runner with several carpets together. Dimensions: 65cm/25.5in x 65cm/25.5in. This could use a wash and two of the corners are week with missing pile and repair (see enlargements). This has the classic Ningxia yellow field.

A Red Raku Chawan named Yama no Gotoshi by the chief Abbot of Kenninji Temple Takeda Ekishu enclosed in the original signed wooden box which is in turn enclosed in an outer protective box.
