A Very Fine Korean Silk Embroidered Double Crane Official Rank Badge-19th C.: Korean, Joseon period, 19th century. Made for a civilian official of first to third rank, the almost square showing a double white cranes jointly grasping a Pulloch’o stalk in mouth, soaring above stylized forming waves and amid clouds outlined in couched thread, worked in shades of blue, green white and purple on a green silk ground. It is in good condition, measures 16.5cm x 18.5cm image only.

A Fine Large Korean Military Embroidered Rank Badge/a Leopard-19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century. A very well-preserved a large leopard rank embroidered with white silk thread on dark blue ground, made for a military official of first to third rank, a square foaming stylized wave and rock work below clouds, worked in the shades of blue, white, pink, yellow, orange, green, purple and brown on the blue silk ground. It’s in very good condition, measures 23cm x 24cm. image only.

This antique ceramic tea bowl, dating to late 17th–early 18th century Korea, is a classic example of the Ido-style (Ido Waki) tea bowls highly regarded in Japanese tea culture. Its elegant form features a well-balanced body, a low, slightly raised foot, and a subtle glaze with a faint yellowish tone, embodying simplicity and refinement.

Distinctive kiln marks—seven in total—are visible inside the bowl, while traces of tea stains around the rim lend it a sense of historical use...

A rare Korean folk art, turtle form, carved wood candle stand base. Hints of once vibrant polychrome stain or paint decoration accentuate parts of the turtle’s shell, front feet, face, eyes and apparently teeth. So perhaps it depicts a mythical turtle. Subsiding water is suggested by a decorative detail bridging the top and bottom of the beak tip of the turtle’s mouth. An aperture of square section on the turtle’s back supported the candle holder. Joseon dynasty: 19th century or earlier...

This piece is very beautiful plain celadon bowl maintaining beauty just like as made in early period. though most celadon pieces made in mid Goryeo has patterns. This bowl probably was used as water container for painting by nobles. Punch'ong "粉青沙器”is the name of wares made of clay included iron and covered with white mud in early Joseon dynasty 15th century. They were made in a only limited short period of time, so original pieces are very curious. This piece have inlay of white mud expressing peony and arabesque.
