Japanese antique Kutani ware porcelain platter in the form of a fish. Raised scales with blue and white glazed details. The back is decorated with waves and has a two character Kutani mark.

Age: Meiji Period (1868-1912)

Dimensions: 2" high x 11 3/4" long x 7 3/4" wide

of Ai-Kakiemon type. Decorated with a goose in flight above two geese in water besides rocks and reeds. The underside with a Karakusa scroll. Base with a six character Chenghua mark. C1680-1700. Max diameter: 5 3/4" (14.5 cm). Condition: Glaze is crazed small areas of crawl.

First edition Japanese shin hanga woodblock print by Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1991) titled "Jindaiji Temple in May Rain" dated in the left margin "Showa 29" (1954). The seal of the publisher Unsodo, and the seals of the carver Nagashima, and printer Shinmi are in the left margin. The artist's black ink signature and red seal are at the lower left corner of the image. The Unsodo (“Un”) watermark is faintly visible at the lower left margin corner...

A sample book of indigo dye cotton stripes, pasted on Daifukucho, which is a record book of a merchant, made of washi. It has 238 fragments. About half sheets of wash are pasted with fragments, but another half ones are not. In good condition. 19th century. W:21cm, L:20.7cm, Thickness:1.7cm

A spectacular example of Japanese maki-e lacquer technique of a box in the shape of a ship loaded with rice bales and treasures, sails filled with wind moving quickly over the waves. It is 15.5 x 9.5 x 4.3 (6 x 4 x 2-3/4 inches) and is in excellent condition, enclosed in a period red-lacquered wooden box with minor wear on the bottom typical o9f age and use.

A spectacular bowl by Ajiki Jun enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Shio-yu Wan. It is 13 cm (over 5 inches) diameter, 10.5 cm (4 inches) tall and in excellent condition.
Ajiki Jun was born the son of Bizen master Ajiki Hiro in Shimane in 1982, graduating the ceramics course of the Okayama Prefectural Technical School in 2001 before apprenticing initially in Shino under Kumagai Tadao before returning to work under his illustrious father from 2004...

An antique Japanese carved wood architectural fragment of a strong healthy Sea Bream swimming through the rough sea current. Made from one solid piece of Keyaki (Zelkova) wood, this piece originates from an old Japanese country inn known as a Ryokan.

Japanese antique woodblock print in triptych entitled "A Picture of Yokozuna Entering the Ring" by Gyokuha Kiwani (active 1900-1920). The highest ranking sumo wrestler, the yokozuna is shown in the center flanked by two other wrestlers during the ring entering ceremony. The yokozuna is easily identified by the wide white rope he wears around his waist. The referee is seated to the right, holding a wide ceremonial fan. All three wrestlers wear matching aprons with the Tokugawa mon and waves...
