Antique Indian jeweled tassel. Suspend from a Chinese hardwood display stand, this Indian tassel is woven with gold, threaded with pearls and ends with a umbrella form over a tiny bell - all set with pearls, emeralds, rubies and diamonds in 18k gold.

Antique Indian miniature panting of a harem scene. Wealthy residences had a protected area where all the women of the house lived. This scene takes place in the antahpur (inner courtyard) of such an area. A wealthy prince is entertained by three beauties. Around them is a lush garden with a fountain and a marble pavilion. Richly painted in gouache, ink and gold on paper...

An excellent complete Afghan Baluchi saddle bag pair. All wool, natural dyes, handwoven , and lovely pile with subtle abrash. The flat weave back is just as beautiful as the front. Circa first half 20th century. Recently acquired from an estate, this has been packed for the last 25 years. L:123cm/48in and W: 66cm/25in.

Formal Indian Sari (just like the ones you see in Bollywood movies), worn for weddings or important religious occasions. This has never been worn. I acquired it from an estate where it has been sitting in a trunk for the past 20 years, and the inside humdity, which caused the brown dye to bleed into the embroidered border somewhat. Please examine images. This L: 5m x 1.4m and is handloomed silk. It was woven in Banaras in the two toned Tanchoi style and silver thread “jari” embroidery...

An Indian Bronze Figure of Vishu. The four armed figure standing on a raised base of traditional form. Holding in two raised arms a chakra and a conch shell. South India 18/19thC. Height; 3 3/4" (9.5 cm). Condition; normal wear and a good patina

This is a very finely cast Tibetan bronze fragment dating to the 17th century or possibly earlier. It depicts a wrathful deity, possibly Vajrabhairava, complete with finely modeled skull crown/tiara to the wrathful head. Please have a look at the photos and feel free to ask any questions. the piece measures 2.5" in height (6.25cm), not including the custom base. Exceptionally well cast with very fine detail. Not easy to find these days

A good antique, 19th century, circa 1850 A.D. Superb quality, Indian Mughal finely hand painted, on organic wafer, miniature painting depicting the Islamic Mughal Red Fort (Lal Qalʿah) in Delhi, built by Shah Jahan in the mid-17th century A.D.

The painting is set under glass in an oval silver frame mounted in beautifully carved solid ebony wood frame carved with floral decoration with a suspension loop...

A fine rectangular filigree silver box with hinged lid, standing on four ball feet. Originating country may be India or Indonesia. No silvermark found. Condition: some small losses (the front within the heart shaped decoration, cover with two missing granulation pieces). Slightly distorted areas. Dimension: 9.7 cm x 6.3 cm x 5.8 cm, weight: 111 g.

The body of the ewer seems in embossed rather than cast bronze because the walls are very thin, however the neck and the handle are in cast bronze and very thick. The decor is incised with a character fighting a snake, details are inlaid in gold. 3 fantastic animals are arranged on the sides on either side of the ewer, they are treated in high relief and seem to be in solid bronze and to be one with the body of ewer because we do not see any welding or rivets...

Wooden panel inlaid with mother-of-pearl, bone and ebony. It must be a piece of a very nice old Ottoman part of furniture. This type of decoration was made from the 16th century in Turkey at the height of the empire and is found today on very rare prestigious furniture...

An South Indian Bronze Figure of Sri Devi. One of Vishnu's consorts. Standing holding a closed Lotus bud. Tamil Nadu 18/19thC. Height; 4 5/8" (11.7 cm). Condition; worn patina.

Statue of Hindu goddess Shridevi, one of the two consorts ("shakti") of god Vishnu, standing on an elevated square base, holding a lotus flower in her left hand. Bronze, with fine patina. India, 18th century. Height: 6.2 cm. Some abrasion due to age, otherwise very good condition.

Young woman musician in sculpted bone, partially gilded with gold powder probably on lacquer. Details painted in red and black. Beautiful carving and excellent thick gilding. Some normal wear otherwise good condition, no restoration or painting. Height about 15 cm. Probably Indian work from the end of the 19th century, around 1900. The fact that her hair is covered would perhaps announce an Islamic Indian

Small cast bronze bottle or flask. It is a creation of the Islamic world of the Middle East. Decor incised with flowers. We can recognize tulips which suggests an Ottoman production, but without certainty, it could be Persian. The metal has an excellent old patina certifying the old object, at least 19th century or before. A small piece of metal is missing at the edge of the collar. Hight about 16cm.
