SOLD This is a beautifully decorated Neolithic vase, standing just over 7" in height. While the body of the vase is intact and free of repair, it appears to me that the top may have been ground down, although I'm not 100% sure. Additionally, one or more of the four horn-like projections near the rim appear to have been reattached and/or replaced. SOLD This is a painted earthenware double-loop handled vase of a type generally classified as Majiayao culture (Machang style). The piece measures just under 5-1/2" inches high and is completely intact and free of repair. Exceptional root marking is visible on the surface which is painted in a series of loops and swirls. Beautifully potted example.
