SOLD A Chinese Qingbai Glazed Bowl with Molded Floral Decoration. Circa, 12th-13th Century, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, Southern Song Dynasty.
Found in the Philippines.
Bowl molded with a central flower, surrounded by lotus sprays around its inner wall, all underneath a key-fret border. It is covered in a green-white ‘Qingbai-type’ glaze, below its unglazed rim.

Large Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Camel with Oxford TL Test
This impressive pottery model of a Bactrian camel was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a pale buff-coloured pottery, has good detail and has been "cold painted" in a base coat of a creamy-white pigment with details picked out in brown, red and black pigments. The camel stands upright and alert with its head held high and turned a little to its left. Its two humps are particularly prominent... Fine LARGE Chinese Western Han Dynasty Painted Pottery Hu Jar & Cover (with Oxford TL Test)
This large and imposing pottery jar, of "hu" form, was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). It is made from grey pottery and has a particularly wide body, the neck flaring out into a wide mouth. Unusually, it comes complete with its original cover... A hexagonal open-work cast bronze incense stick or utensils holder with two dragon handles, standing on three feet. The sides showing four high-relief immortals and two lotus flowers, the base with lattice pattern. Condition: traces of age. Dimension: height: c. 16.3 cm, c. 14.8 cm wide.

One panel with a pavilion in the snow, a figure on a path, tall mountains covered with snow and a persimmon tree bare of leaves and laden with fruit. The other panel shows a red pavilion in the mountains, snow on pine and red maple trees and two figures climbing a stepped path. Both tiles are framed in dark hardwood.

This fine pottery model of a horse was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). It is made from a fairly high-fired fine-grained grey pottery and has been "cold painted" in a pale pink pigment with details on top in red and black pigments. The horse stands upright and alert. Height 27.5 cm... A Chinese bronze two-handled censer in the manner of Hu Wenming, Ming dynasty, 16th/17th century. 15 cms wide.
Provenance: Hugh Gordon Lowder (1888-1978) who worked at Chinese Maritime Customs, Shanghai, 1908-1914 and 1918-1940.

Simply elegant wood panel depicting a bird perched on a rock beneath plum blossom in the background there are mountains and trees. The carving is in perfect condition with traces of original blue pigment- please note the delicacy in which the bird’s legs were carved as well as the bare trees beneath the mountains and bracken ferns at the bottom of the foothill (if you use your imagination they look like high rise apartments). This unusual pottery jar was made over 4,000 years ago during the Machang Phase (c. 2300 - 2000 BC), or possibly the earlier Banshan Phase (c.2600 - 2300 BC) of the Majiayao culture, also known as the Gansu-Yangshao culture, from present day Gansu or Qinghai province.
