Excessively rare cizhou jar representing rabbit. The elegance of the animal is surprising, the drawing is precise and fast, the artist has drawn his line without hesitation. Rabbit is alive. It is exceptional to find such model. Normal wear of some hundred years of use but no cracks, chips or gaps. No restoration or hidden defects. A similar jar with a leaping rabbit but damaged with cracks and chips was sold in 1980 by Sotheby's, you will see a photo attached. Ming period or earlier. H: 25cm

This is presumed to be central panel taken from 100 bird coat from the Bai Ling area. It has been bordered and backed by new fabric. The central panel is very tightly split-thread satin-stitched embroidery over a silk felted (non-woven) fabric. This piece is in pristine condition, and measures approximately 30" by 30"

Finely cast miniature statue of a Lokapala, wearing armor, standing in martial posture on a rock. Gilt bronze, nice patina. China, Tang Dynasty. Height: 5 cm. The statue is mounted on a plexi stand. Very good condition.

Circa 1900, Chinese export enamel trough planter with floral scenes in rock garden on a custom wood stand. The glaze on the exterior ground is a lovely pale turquoise, while the interior is a darker contrasting turquoise. The rim features fret key pattern in a vibrant translucent royal blue and the metal trim is silver which has darkened over time. In excellent condition, the planter measures 8" long, 5.5" wide, and 2.5" high. On stand measures just under 3.5".

The natural cobalt had become to be imported to China again at Jiajing period, and so color development of blue had become very clear...

The Kangxi(康熙）period is the day when the ceramic industry ruined at the last Ming dynasty had been rebuild, and many excellent pieces had been produced at both government kiln and folk kiln. This piece has picture of flushou (福禄寿）and the superlative seal mark of folk kiln on the back.
