A serene QING DYNASTY HAND CARVED GENUINE TURQUOISE DEITY WITH A BABY, ca. 1850 She is draped in long robes fluttering at the sleeves, her hair in a fine chignon. The turquoise of this divine statuette is of high quality, with even coloration. Dimensions without the wooden base are 8 cm x 3.5 cm. Comes with the custom made wooden base.

Deity probably Taoist in soapstone. The god is standing, brandishing the Ying and the Yang. It must refer to a specific character and a story or legend. The work is finely executed and the style of the carving is unusual, cartoonish. In addition, the artist allowed himself to cheat by abnormally moving the left ear too close to the eye so that, seen from the front, the face is balanced...

The facial expression indicates an old style prior to the 20th century. It is a sculpture from the Qing period, probably from the 19th century, but perhaps earlier. The sculpture is of high quality, the artist has made no mistakes, the volumes are perfect, the drawings harmonious and the whole exudes a feeling of quiet calm . It is rare to find soapstone of this quality, usually sculptures in this material are technically mediocre and without artistic interest...

This is a large amulet with two holes for suspension and was most probably used as a chest piece (pectoral). The polish is so spectacularly well done that the piece feels as smooth as silk when held. The large central hole gently tapers on both sides. It measures a full 4" in length and is 2-1/2" in height. Roughly 1/8" thick. In color a varied green nephrite with a minimal residue of the polishing material remaining on the surface.

Antique pair of Chinese Shi (fu-lions). Carved of wood and lacquered red. These traditional guardians were placed on either side of an important door to guard against dangerous spiritual elements and people. They are male (with his paw on a ball) and female (with a cub).

Fine Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl - Bird

This very attractive porcelain bowl was made during the second half of the 16th century, c.1570 - 1590. The outer wall is very nicely decorated in underglaze blue, the pattern featuring a bird within a floral landscape. A flower blossom within two rings decorates the inside centre. To the base is a four-character mark (not translated).

Rare antique Chinese silk brocade panel woven with polychrome peonies; intricate silk tapestry. The panel is backed with beige color silk. Measurements : 27 inches long x 60 inches wide

Antique Chinese pair of recumbent deer. Made of copper and cloisonné of multiple colored enamel. Each deer has a round opening and lid on it's back. They sit with hooves folded under and heads looking back over shoulders. Minor losses.

Pair of cast bronze incense holders. The lower part is a tripod composed of 3 dragon heads. The upper part is a lotus leaf and 3 buds. In the center of the sheet is welded a hollow rod that can contain an incense stick. The cast bronze has defects. A beautiful old patina attests to a great age of several centuries. A broken foot is reattached. A label bears the number 37 without any other reference, but we do not know which collection it is. Height:29cm. 17th century or earlier...
