Chinese Neolithic Twin-Handled Pottery Jar - Qijia Culture (c. 2050 - 1700 BC)

This twin-handled pottery jar was made around 4,000 years ago by peoples of the Neolithic Qijia Culture (c. 2050 - 1700 BC), from what is now eastern Gansu province, China. It is made from a pale buff-coloured pottery and has a smooth surface. It is quite highly-fired, having an almost metallic ring to it when tapped.

Song Dynasty light green glazed stoneware bowl from a Fujian- Minnan or Putian kiln. This bowl has an elegant deeply incised abstract foliate pattern, and everted notched rim Good original condition- some kiln grit and a firing crack at the bottom of cavetto, has bell like tone when tapped. D: 17cm/6.8in and H: 6.5cm/2.8in.

This is a molded gray clay brick/tile from the Tang Dynasty, featuring an "Atlas" type Yakshi figure seated on a lotus blossom. I encountered a similar figure during my visit to Taxila, the cradle of the Gandharan Civilization, which highlights the Greco-Roman origins of Tang art. The lotus signifies a clear Buddhist connection. While the left side of the face is slightly obscured, there is no damage. This piece is unusual in that it is smaller than others I have owned...

An early 20th cent. Chinese export silver bracelet made in filigree technique backing and embellished with enamelling and 7 cabochon of apple-green Chrysophrase gemstone. Stamped "Silver" on one side of the tab closure and EPF 952S(?) on the other side. Total length: 17,5 cm. (medium-large adult size). Condition: excellent.

The condition is used and 19th century polychrome carved doors are in excellent condition.

Rare Chinese Yuan Dynasty Black Pottery Granary Jar with Cover

This very rare black pottery granary jar, complete with its cover, was made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). Yuan black pottery items such as this are relatively unknown and very little has been published about them. They are found in the northern provinces, particularly Gansu province in the north-west.

The vessel is mainly of cylindrical form with a domed top and was used for the storage of grain...

This piece has chicken head shape that Liao people liked, originally these flasks were made just like as a leather bag because Liao people was Nomad. The scratches on the piece occurred when the pieces were fired while stuck together, and are proof of their originality.
