Chinese miniature porcelain tea caddy with gold decoration. All the gold painting is intact and shows no wear which is pretty amazing. Dates mid to late 1700's, it is a fantastic little piece for the collector. In excellent condition, that is as originally made, the only imperfections are little pin pricks in the firing which is normal. This had a cork stopper which is inside the caddy. Measures 3" high x 2" wide x 1/2". Dates 2nd half 1700's.

Rare TALL Chinese Liao Dynasty Stoneware Jar (AD 907 - 1125)

This rare stoneware jar was made during the Liao Dynasty (AD 907 - 1125). It is particularly "heavily-potted" and coated with a thick and uneven olive-green glaze, both inside and out. In places the glaze has not vitrified properly leaving a matt appearance. The mouth has sagged a little to one side during firing. The flat base remains unglazed revealing the pale pinkish-brown body.

This very rare and attractive pottery vase, or bottle, of "yuhuchun" (pear-shaped) form is finely-potted and has a highly polished surface, very smooth to the touch.
