Fine Chinese Sui / Tang Dynasty Glazed Pottery Figure

This attractive pottery figure of a male attendant was made during the Sui Dynasty (AD 581 - 906), or possible the early part of the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a high-fired creamy-white pottery that has been coated in a finely-crackled straw-yellow glaze that has acquired a slivery iridescence. Chinese Tang Dynasty Pottery Lady (AD 618 - 906)

A small, but nice example of a pottery model of a female courtier, often referred to as a "fat lady", made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). Made from a relatively high-fired reddish pottery with traces of the original cold-painted surface pigment.

Height 16.75 cm (6.5 inches). It is in very good condition with no sign of restoration or repair.

Traditional scroll painting Chinese a courtesan putting her make up on in morning. This was painted in the year of the Fire Rat- 1936 or 1996. I would tend put this at the earlier date because the paper shows some age and this has been newly remounted, as well as the style is evoking feeling of a French boudoir. W: 33cm /13in x H: 72cm/28.5in- mounted W: 56cm/22in x H: 138cm/54.5in.
