Small Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Jar - Fo Dog

This small blue & white porcelain jar dates to the 16th century. It is quite heavily-potted, has a flared mouth and is coated in a thick crackled glaze. The underglaze blue decoration features two dogs of fo and a star pattern around the shoulder.

Small Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Jar - Fo Dog

This small blue & white porcelain jar dates to the 16th century. It is quite heavily-potted, has a flared mouth and is coated in a thick crackled glaze. The underglaze blue decoration is of good colour and features two dogs of fo and a star pattern around the shoulder.

Quite a large example of its type with a height of 8 cm. There is some loss of glaze to the mouth edge and an ancient chip to the foot edge...

Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Longquan Celadon Moulded Porcelain Jarlet

This small porcelain jar was made during the 13th – 14th century, most likely at one of the Longquan kilns in Zhejiang province. It has been made in two moulded sections, each with decorative floral patterns, upper and lower, that have been luted together at the waist prior to glazing. The fairly wide concave base remains unglazed.

Diameter 5 cm. It is in very good condition and has no restoration or repair...
