A Chinese Soft-Paste Porcelain Snuff Bottle, Kangxi Mark, 19th Century.

The egg ~ shaped bottle is decorated with a 100 boys motif. The stopper appears to be green jade. The base has a six-character Kangxi reign mark but this bottle is from the 19th century. There is a group of these soft-paste wares, smaller items mostly, ginger jars and vases, all with characteristic warm white glaze with overall craquelure and decorated with playing boys.

Approximately 8.5 cm high...

This very rare and unusual pottery figure was made during the early part of the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906) or possibly before. It is made from a relatively highly-fired buff-coloured pottery that is almost solid. It has been "cold-painted" in a base coat of a creamy-white pigment with details picked-out in red and black pigments on top. It most likely represents a foreign dignitary or attendant of some importance...

A rare impressed clay votive plaque depicting the Dakini Simhavaktra, a fierce feminine Tibetan tantric deity. She has a lion’s face, standing upon a prostrate woman, in a classic Indian dance pose, in one hand she holds a Vajra the other she is holding a human skull. Unusual white pottery impressed image of the Akshobhya Buddha, this an old piece and will guarantee it to be at least 100 years (probably much older). In his left hand he holds a vajra and his left is in the bhumiparsha mudra, behind him is detailed radiance and flanked at the base by two animals (probably elephants). This has traces of excavation as well as quick absorption of water and scent of petrichor- typical of old pottery. H: 5.4cm/2.1in and W: 4.3cm/1.8in.

Embroidered with a total of 16 five-clawed dragons: 7 on the front (including small dragons around the neck), 4 on the sides, and 4 on the back, with a hidden dragon on the inside when the front is opened. The dragons float on a sky of ruyi-shaped clouds and bats. The bottom of the robe is embroidered with colorful lishui waves crashing against a mountain. Long black sleeves end with "horse-shoe" cuffs...

An antique Tibetan temple bell and Vajra both made of bronze. Four prong bronze bell and matching four prong bronze vajra (diamond / thunderbolt). Beautiful design with ritual wear. There is an image of a bodhisattva’s head on the bell handle, a dorje design on outer rim with an embossed relief lotus design on the inner bell. Nice ringing note when sounded.

Age: 19th Century

Bell measures 6 3/4" high by 3 3/4" diameter. Vajra measures 5" long by 1 1/2" in diameter.
