The body rests on three feet. The decoration in slight relief, is inspired by that of Chinese archaic bronzes, presenting Tao-tie masks, dragons and stylized birds on a background of square spirals. White brass (or silver alloy) with a fine age patina. China, Qing Dynasty Guangxu period (1875-1908). Very good condition. NOTE: the censer is quite heavy.
