Quirky Cizhou type, heavy, completely black glazed, waisted beaker from circa Ming Dynasty. Possibly this was used in a Chinese Apothecary, but this is just a best guess to its function. The hole on the bottom was made prior to firing and is part of the original design. Lovely thick glaze and aside from a couple of chips on the outside of the foot, in very good condition. H: 13cm/5.1in- width at base : 8.7cm/3.8in and width at mouthrim : 11cm/4.3in.

A very rare 18th Century QING DYNASTY BLUE & WHITE PORCELAIN TEAPOT, WITH INTEGRATED GILDED ELEMENTS. It depicts a multi participant scene in a Chinese Court. The upper part and lid have decorations of flowers and fruit, gilding and a fine red glaze ring around the top cover. The teapot is connected to a grip made of metal alloy with a double hinge. Dimensions including the grip is 9.5" height, excluding the grip it is 6 3/4", diameter 5 1/8" (24/17 cm, 13 cm diameter)...

A Jizhou bottle in Meiping form was applied on the surface with snowflakes glaze effects.
It was in perfect condition when crackles were yielded under the retrospective glaze...

Fine Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl - Bird

This very attractive porcelain bowl was made during the second half of the 16th century, c.1570 - 1590. The outer wall is very nicely decorated in underglaze blue, the pattern featuring a bird within a floral landscape. A flower blossom within two rings decorates the inside centre. To the base is a four-character mark (not translated).

Diameter 12.5 cm. This bowl is in fine condition...

Coral red tea bowl and saucer, the bowl with rocky landscapes in blue, green and black in reserves, the saucer with the same decoration depicted on a paper scroll. The black lines are hand painted like the rest, so probably Chinese, Jiaqing period. The lotus scroll work on the tea bowl with traces of silver, now oxidized. The tea bowl with a kiln mark, and a simplified six character mark to the saucer, probably for Jiaqing. Diameter of cup "3 ½ / 9 cm and of saucer "5 ¾ / 14.5 cm...
