There are four 26” panels sewn together (sewing machine), each panel is decorated with a pair of phoenix birds one parched on a paulownia tree and the other on a rock. Although the fabric is of high quality silk, it actually is older than it appears - you need to handled gently. The gold sparkles when it is hit by lights. The color is not red...

This is a Japanese Nishijin obi made in exceptionally high quality. The obi is old but almost in perfect condition. It is beautiful to look at even without using a magnifying glass. The soft colors have an earth tone and the use of the dyed threads tells us that this is a superior work of Kyoto Nishijin. The scenery is of the mountains of Kyoto but if you look closely, you might notice that there is a foreign look to some of the structures. The size of each structure is 1" to 2.5"...

This is an exquisite haori. Jackets of this quality, condition, and subject matter are getting increasingly hard to find. Made habutae silk a with brocaded or woven lining, it can be worn or displayed with either side facing outward. The outside is solid black with 5 mons (family crests) and includes the artist signature which appears on the front lower right panel. The inside back panel’s weaving includes the use of gold, silver, and copper-gold metallic lacquered threads...

This is Kyogen Hakama which the child of the rich civilian of Kyoto used for the Meiji period. This has the crest that Kyogen is characteristic of the part of the waist. As for this, the whole is dyed with an indigo plant by Katazome. This has several places of thin dirts. And this has several places of extremely small holes. As for this, cotton is thin. Kyogen Hakama of the child is very rare. Size 85cm x 56cm (33.4 "x 22")

This is natural indigo dyeing Shirusi-Hanten made at the beginning of the Meiji period. This gets texture and others by cotton and silk. As for this, cotton and silk are spun by hand. This is Tsumugi- silk kimono worn for the Meiji period. Brown lattice -Shima where this shines with gold is impressive. All silk thread is spun by hand and this is very beautiful. This does not have a stain and damage. The state is complete. Size 144cm x 132cm (56.6 "x 51.9")

This is thick hemp Noren of the Meiji period. As for this, words are dyed with black dye. The words are written as Mensa. Probably I think this to be an item of the business to sell noodles. This is cloth of indigo dyeing cotton made in Aichi in the Meiji era. It colors the both sides (Ryoumensome) with the same paper pattern. Ryoumensome could use both sides, but the quantity of the work of the dyeing was double. Most Katazome dyes only one side. Because a craftsmAn imitated Shibori of the Narumi district, this Katazome is called NarumiKongata. And Narumikongata expresses delicate rhythm of Sibori smart in Katazome. There are no damage and stain...

This is Noragi used in the Shonai, Yamagata district for the Meiji period. As for this, cotton is used for the warp. And cotton thread and Koyori-Paper colored into a weft with a natural indigo plant are used. It is the item which this is called Denti, and a bride brings in the case of a wedding ceremony. This has a hole of 7cm x 9cm (2.7 "x 3.5") to a back. This has some stains, but does not stand out. Size 70cm x 60cm (27.5 "x 23.6")

This is Noshime used in a district for the Meiji period. This is woven with silk and cotton. The line of the part of the waist is drawn on this freely by hand. This is Indigo dye Stripe cotton syonai-sashiko noragi Long vest textile of the Meiji era(1868-1912). The sashiko hand stitch is beautiful by very small width.The lining has a little discoloration. However, it is very good condition. It can enjoy both sides. size:83cm (32.6" )

This is indigo dye sashiko noragi naga-hanten of Aomori Prefecture of the Meiji era(1868-1912). cotton seems to be hand spun and woven. All sashiko was stitched by the hand. It is very beautiful.
