It does not have a stain and damage and is in a very good state.Zanshi, or kuzuito, is cloth that is woven from threads either leftover from home production of yarn making, or from broken threads that were purchased from local commercial weavers.

It appears that this was converted to current Nagoya style obi (from kimono?). The design of this obi is unique. The wide and narrow area of this obi has different designs on both sides and all seams appear clean. By taking one side of the seam apart, you have a large fabric to work with (double in size with one seam in the center)...

sold thank you This is Japanese rare edo hand shibori (Tie-dye) & Hand embroidery and Natural safflower dyeing silk kimono.
This shibori and embroidery technique is wonderful, very luxurious and beautiful kimono.
The cranes around and the flying cranes are very charming.
There is no stain, but there are parts where the embroidery is slightly off...

It is a gorgeous and beautiful kimono with an excellent design of dahlia, chrysanthemums, nadeshiko, running water, roses, and hagi flowers.
There is a fading discoloration in the flower pattern over time...
