You might be surprised to discover a piece of art, sometimes breathtaking bold in Juban. The condition of this old kimono is new. 100 percent pure silk. The measurements are 49" wide x 56-1/2" long.

Price on Request It is a beautiful kimono in excellent condition. The black dye changed it's color to a current black which has a tint of brown. The silk is in a super good condition. The design is the favorite design of Kakiemon, the hoo bird and the leaves of the paulownia tree. The hoo bird has been associated with the Empress in Japan and her crest is an elegantly designed paulownia leaves.

SOLD Important Antique Japanese Buddhist Pilgrim's coat. Buddhist monks would embark on a pilgrimage to travel temple to temple. Upon arriving to each temple, the monk would bathe before giving offerings and reciting prayers as well as receive a stamp distinctive to each temple. Normally a monk would carry around a special stamp book however it is not unusual to stamp the monk's coat as seen here.
Very rare to find one with so many locations marked and visited...

sold thank you Japanese Antique dark Indigo dye thick a little cotton& tsutsugaki Indigo dye jyofu(hemp) samurai dotyugi long coat of tha Edo era(1800-1867) rare.It has a few thin stains. and few remains of repair However, The stain does not stand out.It is no damage.They are not disturbing, and as a whole it is in very good condition.It is natural indigo dyed cotton and jyofu(hemp) and made of hand-spun .

$680.00 Festival costumes for children made and used in the Kanto region. Since this item was used in the summer, men-chijimi is used. This material was the highest quality item for children in the late Edo period. The finest materials are used by skilled craftsmen to draw the finest lines, which are extremely sharp and delicate. The blurring technique gives the hawk movement and makes it dynamic.
The cotton material is hand-spun men-chijimi.
There are some small stains, but they are not noticeable...

sold thank you This is Japanese antique Hikeshi Hanten (fireman coat)used in the Edo period.( 1830-1850) of natural indigo dye cotton.
It is a very nice cotton hand spun with warm hands.
It is drawn with Tsutsugaki and with natural indigo dye.
There are slight stains, but they are not noticeable. There is a slight rubbing mark.
The state can be worn well.
