Peking glass vase, the baluster form carved with figures at leisure amidst pine trees, bamboo and clouds, the neck decorated with foliate design in relief, mark on base, late 19th or early 20th century period. A small thinly potted wine or tea cup delicately painted in shades of underglaze blue with traditional Chinese landscape scenes. The cup is bound with a metal (copper) rim, apparently made to cover a burst glaze bubble. On the base is a four character shop mark which reads "Shun Li Kun Ji". The makers mark was in use during the late Qing / early Republic period so we assume that this item was made during the late 19th or early 20th Century. A large and heavy porcelain vase with thick Sang-de-boeuf ('Ox-blood') glaze. On the base is incised the six character reign mark of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). We have been unable to decide whether this item was made during his reign (in the late Qing dynasty) or later during the Republic period (1912-1949. A finely moulded biscuit glazed Wang Binrong style porcelain vase decorated with the eight buddhist emblems and two Qianlong style dragons. The base has a moulded CHINA mark indicating that this item was made post 1891 for export during either the late Guangxu or early Republic period (circa 1895-1920). Chinese monochrome porcelain oval shaped shallow bowl, beautiful pale blue color glaze, 22 sprue marks on bottom, horizontal six character Yong Zheng mark, stands on low feet, with very nice carved antique hardwood stand. Size of dish only: 10 1/2" long x 7 3/4" wide x 1 3/8" deep. Wooden stand is 2 1/8" high

Beautiful carved dark green jade toggle of miniature chimera on top of coins and surrounded by vines. The jade stone shows natural orange striations. Nicely carved details. Age: Republic Period (c.1920) Size: 1.75" by 1.25"

A pair of Chinese porcelain bowls decorated with peonies. The bowl contains a short poetic inscription which generally states: As if (one is) cherishing the beautiful, likewise at the moment (the flowers) are displaying its colors. The bottom of the bowl contains a mark reading, Yongzheng Nianxing. Age: Republic Period. Size: diameter: 4.3" height 2"

Chinese blue and whites porcelain plates, decorated with temple and figures and lake view, late 19th/ early 20th century period. Size, diameter of each plate is 5 1/2 inches, in good condition with rim chips to one plate.

Antique chinese silk had mede for a child. The hat is beautifully embroidered with peonies and chrysanthemums. There are tassles, light pink, on either side. The top of the hat has a bird with a tassle in its beak, a smaller bird sits below. Republic period.

A fine Chinese fencai plate decorated with motifs of bats and scrolling clouds. Bats are an auspicious symbol in China and is synonymous to the fortune in Chinese. The back of the plate, is inscribed Dai qing guan xu nian xing. Age: Early 20th century Size: diameter 13.5" height 3.25"

A model of He Xiangu holding a flower basket, the only female deity among the Eight Immortals. Worked in silver and enamel, the head, hands and basket are detachable. Base marked with Chinese characters. Dating to the late Qing or early 20th century. Condition: losses to enamel and some oxydations under the enamel, one earring with small loss. Please look carefully at the photos. Dimension: 29.8 cm high, weight: over 500 g.

A nicely carved natural amber pendant of the Hand of Buddha Citron. There is a hole at the top on the piece so it can be worn as a pendant. The citron fruit may be given as a religious offering in Buddhist temples. According to tradition, Buddha prefers the "fingers" of the fruit to be in a position where they resemble a closed rather than open hand, as closed hands symbolize to Buddha the act of prayer. Size: L. 3.9cm. W. 1.5cm. Condition: Perfect.

A Chinese couplet scroll in calligraphy excerpting from a work composed by the noted literati scholar, Su Dongpo from the Song Dynasty. Work contains the signature and seal of Zheng Xiaoxu (1860-1938).The two line couplet expresses how as there are different ways to point out the errors in an embroidered robe, or a crane hesitating to fly has yet to mature into an immortal.
