Chinese antique hardwood cabinet with interior shelving. The cabinet doors are carved with pine trees and bamboo. The lower egister is carved with a rectilinear design. The bottom has a fan, a bat, and a lychee branch.

DESCRIPTION: A large antique porcelain plate, well decorated with a mythical Kylin gazing upward at a large bird perched in a pine tree. The decoration is in underglazed blue with a clear glaze containing a faint blue tint. The base is unglazed and unmarked showing the finely grained paste. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs; wood stand not included. DIMENSIONS: 11 1/4” diameter (28.5 cm) x 2 1/8" high (5.4 cm).

Silver plaque with indistinct mark. Condition: good, minimally dented at the edges. Dimension: 27.8 cm x 20. 6 cm, weight: 716 g.

Antique Chinese porcelain plate circa 1900's (Qing Dynasty). The plate is beautifully painted with a sage holding a sprig of bamboo riding a blue celadon. The Sage and fish are accompanied by a gold winged dog. There are three seals. The plate is bordered with three registers. It measures 11.75" wide by 9" tall. The base has four bats, one on each side. The edge of the plate has old fitters from age.

A finely carved Chinese agate in the form of a popular motif often seen in Tibet which is the windhorse. The use of Tibetan motifs in Chinese arts began during the Ming dynasty with patronage of the Tibetan high lamas and continued onwards into the Qing Dynasty. The windhorse is carrying a pecha or sutra text, a signature motif often found on windhorses. The stylized ribbons and the waves are done in the Chinese style. Antique Chinese bronze incense burner in the form of a goose. The wings of the goose are also the lid of the incense holder. The feathers are done with great naturalism. Republic period, early 20th century. It measures 13.5" tall 8.5" long 4" wide.

A small porcelain iron red overglaze water coup decorated with dragons set among scrolling clouds. The iron red style was developed in the Ming dynasty and in the Qing various styles were expanded. Additionally, with the continuity of the literati tradition, various objects were being produced and one was the water coup which is essential in producing ink for calligraphy. The water coup contains an inscription reading Da qing xiangfeng nian xin. (1851-1861). Size: height 2.25" diameter 2.8"
