Open-work knob on lid with finely worked details. Signed in the botton: Dai (great) including small pure silver mark (gin). Fitted kiri-box. H 17 cm (with handle), D 13 cm. Weight: 387 g. Condition: Excellent, used item , a slight dent on the left side of the sprout.

Set of 1930's Japanese Seto Porcelain Oyster 8 Plates Signed

They are 1 inch (2.5 cm) tall by 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) wide. Total weight is 4 lb.

They have glaze cracks, glaze crazing, firing dark spots, loss of gold and paint, skip glazes, and surface wears and scratches. Six of the plates have firing cracks. One plate has chips and hairline cracks at the back (as seen in the photos).

An antique Japanese Tansu chest made for Kimono storage and constructed out of Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware including the Warabite style handles. Two drawer design perfectly suited as a side chest or low dresser.

It carries on its back a vase which serves as a receptacle for incense. The statuette is hollow, vents to evacuate gases during cooking were discreetly made under the ears.
