Antique Japanese two-panel gold leaf screen with elegant, simplistic landscape scenes in black, with calligraphy and artist's signature. Unusual small size, very charming. Edo Period (circa 1800's). Size: 65" L, 11" H

Charming bronze head and bust of a Monkey displayed on custom iron stand. Ears are alert and pointed upward, eyes are wide open and full of joy. Monkey's smile is broad, showing a bottom row of small teeth. A cheery piece of art, and brilliant display of expression. Circa 1950 Dimensions: 10.25" High X 3.75" Wide

Absolutely incredible Japanese antique bronze figure of a monkey sitting and inspecting a small wasp's nest. He is delicately modeled with great care given to his expression and details. The monkey figure wears a little coat with incised decoration of more monkeys playing with crabs, a scene which highlights the theme of the main figure which seems to be the inquisitive nature of monkeys. Early Meiji Period (1868-1912), signed by the artist "Shunben" Size: 12" high x 8" wide x 14" deep.

Features sliding doors with vertical slats with a long, single drawer above and two drawers below with lock bar, corner safebox, two plain drawers at the very bottom. Wonderful original condition. Japanese Taisho to Showa period vertical scrolled painting executed in sumi ink and wash on paper with a landscape scene featuring two figures at a bridge beside looming rockery, trees, a traditional hut, and a waterfall. Painted in the style of Sesshu. Signed with a red seal at the lower right. Bone scroll ends. Scroll: 50” x 16 1/8” (paper: 21 1/4” x 13”). Very good overall condition.

Beautiful Antique Japanese koruri dans also known as an apothecary tansu. Made from kiri and sugi wood, with one hundred and two small drawers! Each inscribed with the name of a herb/medicine that was to be stored in slotted compartments. There are two thin drawers at its center bottom with flower shaped handle backs and two larger drawers at either side. Each drawer has a round black iron handles.
