In pencil, the bottom margin contains the title "Cat (Look Back) 2w," the edition number 59/120, the artist's signature "T. Nishida," and the date '99 together with the artist's red seal. Japanese limited edition woodblock print by Morihiro Sato (b. 1943) depicting white bellflowers. A student of Joichi Hoshi who was influenced by Hoshi's use of metallic pigments, the artist set the flowers and partial moon (or sun) against a metallic background. Depending upon the lighting conditions (see image taken with flash) the background appears either golden or silver. The print is pencil-titled in kanji "Autumn (Bellflowers)" and numbered 3/55 at the lower left...

A rare antique Japanese Kusuri Tansu (pharmacy or medicine chest) made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron Warabite handles. Original drawer labels left intact. 20 drawers total. Great chest for filing papers and documents. Unusually wide drawers compared to the ubiquitous tiny drawers of the typical Kusuri Tansu.

This child with a pleasant face happily rides his toy horse, the horse looking just as pleased. The entirety is a porcelain sake server from the Saga region on the southern Island of Kyushu, home to Imari, Hirado and other porcelain ware. A bung of black persimmon wood has been added as a lid in the shape of a Chinese hat. It is 21 x 12 x 21 cm (8 x 4-3/4 x 8 inches) and in overall fine, original condition, dating from the 19th century.

An original painting by Mayumi Oda depicting a goddess holding an infant in one harm and a branch with pomegranates in the other. On her knee is a sleeping child.
