Wonderful Japanese antique incense case, made of bamboo with very highly raised lacquer in the form of a blossoming wisteria branch, beautiful color and details including a tiny wasp, signed: Shizan, Edo/Meiji Period. 12 1/2" long x 2/3" wide.

The size of Screen: 24” Long x 24 1/8” High(center) x 3/4” Thick. Each panel is 7 1/8” wide. This is 4 panel screen done in black lacquer finish. The screen has violin and other ornaments design. The screen is hand-painted on black lacquer with wooden body. Origin of screen unknown, but I believe form Japan. The age of screen is about 40-50 years old. The condition of screen excellent. There is no crack. The screen kept very good condition. The weight of screen, 6 Pounds...

The charger has the design of fern leaves and blossoms done in Ono Hakuko's signature style with gold leaf underglaze. The charger is signed "Haku" on the bottom. The side of the vase has small raised rectangular areas which have design of fish, snail, chrysanthemums, peaches, shellfish, butterfly, phoenix and Japanese shishi lion.
