Antique Japanese triptych print of a landscape with a port scene and mountains by Hiroshige Utagawa. Three individual woodblock prints compose this tranquil port scene at the base of a mountain range. Original condition. Each measures 16.5" tall by 9.75" wide, overall 16.5" by 29.5" wide. An antique Japanese 2 part Usubata in bronze featuring a Minogame (age old turtle) base. Mounted to the shell is a flanged cloud rendering with four terminating columns that undulates to a removable wide rim water receptacle. Artist signed at the base of the receptacle. Beautiful craftsmanship including the fine stimple work to the underside of the turtle.

In Japan, the turtle is a good luck animal symbolizing 10,000 years of long life...

A splendid antique Japanese usubata or flower vase used in ikebana. The surface of the piece is covered with a red coating to mimic cinnabar lacquer. The images of pheasants and peacocks surround the body of the vase. The sides are elephants and the legs are formed from a mythical beast. A detailed antique Japanese usubata flower vase. The vase contains a raised figure of phoenix flying and the entire vase contains carvings of paulownia flowers. The vase comes with an old box with an inscription on the top stating what the contents is and on the underside, the vases was acquired in December of 1893. Size: Diameter: 10.75" Height: 9"

It has drawers of varying sizes, with warabite shaped iron handles, the top and bottom drawers have decorative iron lock plating incised with a floral design, safebox in bottom corner with original key. Antique Japanese unusual single-section clothing tansu, with Kiri (Paulownia) wood front drawers, Sugi (cedar) interior, with a Hinoki (cypress) wood pair of slatted, locking safe doors. Attractive, natural woodgrain with original dark finish. This piece comes from the Kyusu area of Japan and is rarely seen.

Antique Japanese unusual choba tansu (merchant's chest) with original red lacquer finish hardwood. A single long drawers runs along the top, with four small drawers along the righthand side, and two large, hinged doors on the left, with an interior storage area. Simplistic decorative iron plating of round locks, squared (kakute) handles, and scalloped corner hardware decorative the front and frame of the piece.
