This is a beautiful wire and wireless Japanese cloisonne vase. Though it is not signed, it was made by Gonda Hirosuke during the Meiji Era, circa 1910. Other identical pieces exist that are signed Gonda. Very few of these wireless fish vases were made by Gonda. The vase is in excellent condition and has silver rims. It was created before Japan began stamping rims with the "jun gin' silver mark in the early 1900's. It stands 7 inches tall and is 7 inches wide.

This is an exquisite decorated iron Koro signed Nihonkoku Kyoto ni sumu Komai sei. The condition is excellent and actually better than the images show. A glue/cloth residue was left on the underside and side of the base.This is easy to remove.The piece stands 4 1/8 inches tall and is 3 1/8 inches wide. The delicate lid appears to be silver.

This is a gorgeous Japanese Satsuma bowl from a rare artist. It is signed Kinzan. This bowl is in excellent condition. It measures 4 1/2 inches across and is 1 5/8 inches tall.

Old Hakoseko (Japanese tissue holder or purse) for times when women wear formal kimono. They are placed in the chest area with the chains of the kanzashi hair ornaments hanging from the obi belt. The beautiful embroidery work (very delicate) on this hakoseko did not show up in the photos. The red color is a much softer tone; this is truely an elegant piece. A beautiful Satsuma vase by Kinkozan, the foremost artist of the 'Golden Age' of Satsuma during the Meiji Period. In ovoid form with gorgeous relief butterfly and flower designs and a central band with floral rosettes on black. Kinkozan mark on base. Height: 12.5 inches, 31.5 cm; Circumference: 25 inches, 63.5 cm.

The design of the bamboo grass this snow lies thick is a famous costume of kabuki. This silk kimono is making yuzen dyeing and embroidery with a hand.That's bold and the striking design. This is a beautiful four sided Japanese cloisonne vase. The work is subtle and the workmanship of very high quality. The artists that come to mind when looking at this piece are Kawade and Souske. The vase is not signed. The rims are silver. The vase stands 7 1/4 inches tall and it is in excellent condition.

This is a beautiful cloisonne vase from Gonda with a unique form. The Wisteria colors are wonderful. It stands 12 inches tall. Has a bit of crazing at the top but it's very hard to notice.

Buddhist shrine containing the deity Uga Benzaiten surrounded by Fifteen Children (Jugodoji), all sitting and standing on a rock formation. In the foreground are the ox and the horse, a boat laden with rice bales and the snake god Ugajin. Hidden between the jugodoji is the tiny figure of Amida Buddha.

In this shrine Benten appears in her eight-armed martial form holding various weapons (wheel, bow, spear, sword, club, lock, and arrow) and the wish granting jewel (all of them missing)...
