Perfect Shino Natsu tea bowl (Summer tea bowl) made by one of the most popular Japanese actors and artists, Kazuo Hayashi. He was born in 1945 and is affiliated with Theater Echo. He is also skilled in Buyō and pottery. Ceramics of him are rarely available.

It is in mint condition and comes with the originally signed and sealed wooden box of the artist.

Bizen ware Sake set of Tokkuri and Guinomi made by Bizen master Joji Yamashita (b. 1947) The mark of the artist is carved on the base.

Joji Yamashita was born in Tokyo in 1947. He moved to Canada in 1967 where he graduated from Vancouver Art School.
After returning to Japan in 1970, he studied Bizen ware under Isezaki Jun and established his own kiln in 1978...

This rare little gem is made by Morihiro Hosokawa (b. 1938) who served as the prime minister of Japan from 1993 to 1994.

He is also the head of the Kumamoto-Hosokawa clan, one of the noble families of Japan...

Currently, his son Tani Q operates the family kiln in Shigarakicho.

Yanagisawa Kien was a samurai in the middle of the Edo period and a pioneer of Nanga painting style...

Original painting of Ukita Ikkei (1795-1859), a significant figure in the revival of yamato-e painting, a revered Japanese form of court painting. He was also the master of waka poems and calligraphy.

Ukita Ikkei was captured and imprisoned in Ansei Purge and died shortly after he was released from prison when he was 65 years old.
The artist's signature and red stamp seal are on the lower right...

This is a Japanese antique Boro shibori and katazome hanjyuban jacket textile Edo period (1800－1867). The sleeve part natural Indigo dye cotton katazome. The body and back are silk safflower dyed shibori(Tie-dyeing) . The collar and lining are cotton. The fabric on the collar is a very nice Edo period cotton. Golden threads are woven into a home for the large three-dimensional spider crawling over the scrolling edge of this caramel-colored dish dating from the Meiji era. It comes enclosed in an age darkened wooden box titled Akahada Kashibachi (Akahada Sweets dish). It is roughly 16 x 18 cm (6 x 7 inches) and in excellent condition. The clay is consistent with the sandy texture of Akahada, however the color is quite unusual.
Akahada Pottery began in the Momoyama period (1573-1603)...
